Can you bet at Pinnacle from the US?
Short answer: No. Pinnacle stopped taking bets from US customers in 2007, after the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act, and it is not licensed by any US state. Its prices still matter to US bettors because the betting market treats them as the sharpest reference, so many bettors compare their own book's odds with Pinnacle's.
Why Pinnacle isn't available in the US
Pinnacle withdrew from the US market in January 2007, after the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act of 2006 made it illegal for payment processors to move money for unlicensed online betting. Legal sports betting in the US is licensed state by state, and Pinnacle does not hold a US state licence, so it does not accept customers located in the US. Getting around that (for example with a VPN) breaks its terms, and accounts found doing it can be closed.
Why its prices still matter to US bettors
Pinnacle runs a low-margin, high-limit book that takes large bets from professional bettors and moves its prices on that money. That makes its lines the reference much of the market watches. A common way to judge a price at a US book is to remove the vig from Pinnacle's two prices on the same line and see whether the US book pays more than that fair price (no-vig calculator, why Pinnacle is the reference).
How to see Pinnacle's prop prices
OpenSlate reads Pinnacle and DraftKings every hour and shows both books' over and under prices, with each book's no-vig probability, on every player prop both post: tonight's props, free. Sharper is not the same as always right: in OpenSlate's NFL research, Pinnacle's receptions and rushing prices were no more accurate than DraftKings'.

Common follow-up questions
Can I use Pinnacle's odds without an account? Yes. Its prices are public and are carried by odds feeds; looking at them is not betting there. Most bettors who use Pinnacle as a reference never hold an account.
Is there a US book that works the same way? Not on player props. Some US-licensed books are known for higher limits and quicker line moves than the large retail apps, but none posts Pinnacle's depth of prop markets at Pinnacle's margins. That is why prop comparisons usually still use Pinnacle as the reference even for US bettors.
Does Pinnacle post every prop DraftKings does? No. On NBA nights it posts points, rebounds, assists, threes and points + rebounds + assists for most players, and on NFL Sundays a smaller set (receptions, receiving yards, rush attempts, and some passing and rushing yardage). DraftKings posts many more markets, such as steals, combined stats and first basket, where no Pinnacle reference exists.
Is Pinnacle's price always right? No book is. Its price is the market's best single estimate on the lines it posts, which is useful as a benchmark, not a guarantee. A large gap between Pinnacle and a US book on the same line is often news (an injury or a rest decision) that one book has priced and the other has not yet.
